While this New Moon in Capricorn is in a nice sextile to Saturn in Pisces, offering support and practical application to the Piscean dreaminess, the other harder aspects are taking center stage at this time. With Mercury in Sagittarius activating an already tight square between Jupiter and Saturn, things are building to another crescendo. Mercury is only adding fuel to the fire, making it difficult to see things for what they truly are or to recognize the longer-term, big-picture implications to come.
Mars and Pluto are also almost exact in their second pass of opposition between Leo and Aquarius. The tension is building and mounting. Although this may be the second pass, things have changed. The first pass occurred in Cancer and Capricorn; now, the opposition is in Leo and Aquarius. Fixed energy does not like change—it’s akin to asking a mountain to move. As Pluto is the farthest planet, its impact on Mars will be profound. Frustrations, anger, arguments, and violence need to be watched out for. Mars retrograde on its own breeds disputes and anger, but in opposition to Pluto, we must ask ourselves: is it truly in our best interest to poke the bear?
All of that to say, more than likely at this time, we’re going through some deep and profound transformations. While these shifts may be intense, life-altering, and ultimately beneficial in the long term, at this moment, we are probably pulling our collective and individual hair out trying to come to terms with all the changes that are happening. Pay attention to your mental and emotional health practices during this time. While the winds of change may be blowing through, and things will shift for us in new and exciting ways next year, right now, the hurricane wall is upon us.
